Firestarter was founded in 2016 by Frances Reimers, an award-winning marketing, public relations, and events professional. Firestarter, a personal brand consultancy located in Alexandria, VA., has helped some of the country’s leading high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, coaches, and sports executives develop, manage, enhance, and protect one of their most critical professional assets: their brands.

Firestarter’s client roster, past and present, includes such notable names as the Denver Nuggets, Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders, San Francisco 49ers offensive linemen Jon Feliciano, Aaron Donald’s AD99 Solutions Foundation, Deatrich Wise’s Wise Up Foundation, University of Pittsburgh collective Alliance 412, and many collegiate athletic programs, as well as high school, college and professional athletes, coaches, and professional service providers.

Before launching Firestarter, Frances wore many hats, but most notibly, was the Director of Corporate Visibility for PCI. She led business and client development, managing over $2M in annual revenue. Through her content marketing and digital strategy efforts, she tripled the agency’s website traffic while overseeing projects for many clients, such as the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, Washington Nationals, and the Department of Transportation.

Also active in civic and philanthropic organizations, Frances serves on the Advisory Boards for the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind and Soldiers to Sidelines. Dedicated to educating the public, in 2020, Frances launched the ‘Firestarter Personal Branding’ program, an eight-week tutorial to help students at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, WY learn about brand-building.

A sought-after speaker and evangelist of the importance of personal branding and NIL education, Frances has been featured in O Magazine, Forbes, Huffington Post, Athletic Business, Front Office Sports, The Washington Post, and You Can Magazine. She’s been a frequent guest on radio and TV shows and podcasts. In 2014, she was a featured guest on CNN’s Live with Piers Morgan. Frances is a 2016 recipient of the Alexandria, VA Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 award.
